Old employer didn't terminate my employment in their books before the end of the year

Recommended Posts

I worked for a company and left in 2021 in mid-December. I just received an email from them with my T4 for the 2022 tax year, but I was not employed by them in 2022. The tax slip is a 0 income slip, do I have to input this into my filing for the year 2022? I have entered it into ufile but now I'm getting an error message that says "You have employment income and are not exempt from paying CPP/QPP contributions. You should normally enter your CPP contributions (Box 16) or QPP contributions (Box 17) in your T4 slip". Can I ignore this error, or should I remove the 0 income T4 from my filing?
