Mathieu B Posted February 25, 2023 Report Posted February 25, 2023 Can we file a T1B form using UFILE in order to deduct federal covid-19 repayment in a prior year? If not, I guess I have to delete the T4E from the 2022 tax year, print the 2022 tax return, mail it and join the T1B form with it? I'm hoping I can do this using UFILE and electronic filing. Someone found a way? The form was made in Jan 2023: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/forms-publications/forms/t1b.html Quote
Geo123 Posted February 26, 2023 Report Posted February 26, 2023 Hello Mathieu B, Yes you can do this in UFile. T1B - Request to Deduct Federal COVID-19 Benefits Repayment in a Prior Year The information regarding the new form T1B can be found in the section “Losses of prior years, carrybacks”. Quote

Geo123......Is there an advantage to using the T1B form to request the deduction for 2020 instead of claiming it for 2022 in the T4E section? Quote
Geo123 Posted March 14, 2023 Report Posted March 14, 2023 Hello Thatgirlmona, You should consult with an accountant or tax advisor on this question. Quote
