The spouse receiving the loan paid annual interest payment in January 2023, before the CRA's January 30 deadline. Is anything related to the spousal loan included in 2022 tax filing? Specifically, the interest income for the spouse who made the loan and the interest deduction for the spouse who borrowed the money would not be reported until tax year 2023?
