TonyG Posted March 17, 2023 Report Share Posted March 17, 2023 My daughter-in-law & son had a baby Oct. 2022. I added the child as a dependant on her Ufile return. The program is supposed to generate a schedule 5 if the filer is eligible to claim the dependant. For some unknown reason this is not happening and Ufile support is no help. Marcel Posted March 23, 2023 Report Share Posted March 23, 2023 I'm having the exact same problem, I'm not able to file without this information as it mentions that Schedule 5 is missing from the file, but it does not adds it to the list. It also does not allows me to file without it, so I'm basically stuck being unable to file. Any idea how to add the schedule 5 to the file? If both parents live together and have income you cannot claim the child under schedule 5. This is only for single parents. The UCCB replaces the eligible dependant.
