There are optimizations which UFIle calculates for the family unit. You have the possibility to override the default calculation for any of these options, if you wish to do so.

Special rules when claiming the disability amount and attendant care as medical expenses :

Indicate how you wish to handle the federal disability amount and attendant care as medical expenses 
Indicate how you wish to handle the Quebec disability amount and attendant care as medical expenses

I do see that, but what I am asking is what is the difference between:

1. Claim the attendant care as medical expenses

2. Claim the attendant care as medical expenses with the disability amount

Also, how would these options affect the DTC being claimed by a parent.
