alexo Posted March 24, 2023 Report Posted March 24, 2023 We are trying to apply for the One-time top-up to the Canada Housing Benefit for a dependent. CRA *requires* a tax return for 2021 in order to process that claim. At the time we did not file since he had no income, so we are trying to file retroactively. Ufile will not generate a report, saying: The bottom part shows: And the only relevant message is: There are no errors. I know that the tax return is technically not required, but we still need to file it for the housing benefit. This is urgent since the deadline is the end of the month. Please help! Quote

alexo Posted March 24, 2023 Author Report Posted March 24, 2023 Thank you so much! It's a pity that the representative on the support line did not suggest that. May I suggest changing the error message to something more informative? It did charge me $8 + tax for the filing, but eh. Quote
