Auto-Fill my return: Error: the web browser has been closed before the completion of the process

Hi

I was hoping to do my taxes tonight, but Ufile 2022 decided to throw me a curve ball.

In the CRA Auto-fill section, when I click on Retrieve tax information, I get this nice error message:

Error: the web browser has been closed before the completion of the process

I don't know what's going on. 

I have Edge, Firefox and Chrome, and put them as default one by one and still the same issue.

I have restarted many times

I do not have IE as this is now disabled on my device. I surely hope that Ufile does not require IE.

Thanks for the feedback...I fixed my own issue by forcing the re-installation of Edge Webview2.

command line: MicrosoftEdgeWebView2RuntimeInstallerX64.exe /silent /install

Hello Kent,

UFIle for windows uses EDGE.

• If you have Windows 10 or 11, download “Microsoft Edge Webviewer” at the following link (it may not have been bundled in your version): https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?Linkid=2124703

• Use the most recent version of the “Edge” browser.

 Check EDGE  browser Settings:

1. Type "Internet options" in the Windows search menu.

2. Click "Internet Options".

3. Click on "Advanced" tab.

4. Scroll to the Security section, then check Use TLS 1.2.

5. Click OK, then close Edge. TLS v1.2 is enabled on the next start of Edge.

 Of note can also be effected by : Internet speed, computer memory/speed , network latency, CRA Server loads, anti-virus, firewall and the data within the download file.

again, it's resolved. It was installed. I had to force it to re-install.

You should have this issue listed in your FAQ.

I have been using Ufile for many years, but not much technical support.
