This year, UFile is holding my return hostage by asking me to pay again to file the spousal return (included in my December purchase). What is going on? Family Head Promo is good for one tax return and two dependants, not a Spouse. The Spouse tax return is $14.00 extra. Please note that the Spouse is not considered a Dependant. How much does UFile ONLINE cost? I’ve been using this software for close to a decade and all of a sudden it’s “surprise, pay extra for spouse.” Your marketing was never unclear in years past. Between that and the site being next to unusable at filing deadline I’m looking elsewhere next year. Edit: So for the first year ever, I have now overpaid for UFile by paying early.
