Andy Derix Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 Hello, I found an old RBC Direct Investing document from 2014 pertaining to a loss from one of my investments ... I owned shares in a company that went bankrupt back in 2014, but never entered it in my 2014 Income Tax Filings. Can I enter it on my 2023 Income Tax Filing, or is it too late? Thank you, Andy Quote
BLSM Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 You would need to file an amendment to 2014. Generally, you can request a change only to a tax return from any of the 10 previous calendar years. For example, if you make a request in 2023, it must relate to the 2013 or later tax returns Quote
Geo123 Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 Hello Andy Derix, Generally, you can request a change only to a tax return from any of the 10 previous calendar years. For example, if you make a request in 2023, it must relate to the 2013 or later tax returns. If you want to change a return for a year that does not appear in the list in the drop-down menu, send the request to your tax centre in writing. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/digital-services-individuals/account-individuals/change-return.html Quote
