How do I file prior years for my clients?

Recommended Posts

I have a client need to file 2021, 2022, and 2023. The client is a new immigrant and never filed tax. Do not have a netfile code.

Looking through helps and search google, there prior year products are Ufile online and windows, which are for netfile. I can see CVITP Ufile for windows, but not for Ufile PRO.
What is the right thing to do for Ufile PRO user? Please advice.

Hello YYY777,

If you are a UFILE PRO user, you will still have to purchase the years in question.

Every year contains unique tax information for that specific year.

If you have used UFILE PRO in the past then simply add 2 returns to your counter.

You may purchase additional returns for each tax year for only $12.49 plus tax.

Thank you for the reply!

I do not have 2022 and 2021, so am I going to buy minimum 25 return PRO package for each year?
The prior tax return purchase page is listed Ufile WINDOWS and ONLINE. PRO package link is towards only 2023 package and additional returns. this is the same page that you refer.

And your link is for additional returns are saying for 2023. not for prior years. I am very confused what exactly to purchase. Please advise.

Hello YYY777,

The additional years only work for their intended tax year, example: 2022 only works with 2022. etc...

The additional returns are only effective if you have the program for that particular tax year. You cannot mix years,

I understand it.

The software 2022 and 2021 need separate activation key, that you meant, correct?

The purchase page the additional returns are indicated for 2023. If I purchase 2 of 2 returns for 2023, can I apply each activation key to 2022 and 2021?
