Each individual who is resident in Manitoba at the end of the taxation year and is less than 25 years of age can claim up to $500 for fees paid in the year for registration or membership for a prescribed program of physical activity. Newfoundland & Labrador Refundable Physical Activity Tax Credit Effective for 2021 and later years, for individuals who are residents of NL at the end of the taxation year: Nova Scotia Refundable Children's Sports and Arts Tax Credit First available for the 2022 taxation year, this refundable tax credit is for eligible costs for programs of artistic, cultural, recreational or developmental activity or physical activity. Saskatchewan Refundable Active Families Benefit As per the Saskatchewan 2021 Budget, the Active Families Benefit is being reinstated, retroactive to January 1, 2021. Yukon Refundable Child Fitness Tax Credit Yukon has a refundable child fitness tax credit that was based on the federal tax credit. The Yukon Child Fitness Credit became refundable in 2015. Yukon tabled amendments so that the reduction and elimination of the Federal Children's Fitness Credit did not reduce or eliminate the Yukon Children's Fitness Credit.
