Carrying forward last year's data from family dependent to a now independent new file?

Last year our son was a dependent and his tax file was grouped with ours (his parents). This year he needs to start a new ufile return on his own. How do we import his data from our grouped online file last year to his new independent one?

Hello Technokidz,

There is no way to carryforward the data from an existing account into a new account, the data including carryforward amounts must be entered manually.  You can find these amounts from the prior year tax return - Summary of carryforward amounts to 2023
