goodnightnobody
I am a self-employed freelancer, and from what I can tell I should be having to make contributions to the CPP (I am between 18 and 70 and I earn over $3,500. I've entered my T2125P information, but I cannot figure out where I am meant to see/input how much CPP I should be paying. The search function on UFile is not proving helpful, and neither is a Google search. Anyone out there able to help?
Geo123
Hello goodnightnobody, CPP / QPP is calculated automatically (and compulsory) by UFIle. In the tax return refer to Schedule 8 Contributions to the Canada Pension Plan. With very few exceptions, every person over the age of 18 who works in Canada outside of Quebec and earns more than a minimum amount ($3,500 per year) must contribute to the Canada Pension Plan (CPP). If you have an employer, you pay half the required contributions and your employer pays the other half. If you are self-employed, you make the whole contribution. https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/publicpensions/cpp/contributions.html Schedule 8 https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/forms-publications/tax-packages-years/general-income-tax-benefit-package/5000-s8.html

Is there a way to bring up Schedule 8 in UFile? I would expect it to appear somewhere in the left toolbar, but it isn't there, and I can't seem to figure out how to get to it. Geo123
Hello goodnightnobody, It would appear automatically based on your T2125 net income.

Yes, but the problem is that it hasn't. I've already entered my T2125 information and it hasn't appeared.
