Scoop Posted April 26 Report Posted April 26 We sold our principle residence last year. It was a duplex/semi with two equal units - one our principle residence and one a rental unit. I'm having trouble figuring out how to enter this situation on Ufile. Ufile support hasn't been any help, only telling me to just claim it all as our principle residence which I know isn't right. I have a basic idea of what the CRA expecations are, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do this on Ufile online. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Quote
Geo123 Posted April 26 Report Posted April 26 Hello Scoop, Assuming there are two addresses. Declare the unit you lived in with the Principal Residence exemption, declare the rental unit sale via the T776 Interview page as a capital gain. Quote
