googirl151
Hello, I have done my taxes for years using Ufile online and this year is the first year I am married. Canada Revenue has my updated information and is now using my married name, however on Ufile it defaults to my maiden name because I am using my password and stuff that I have always used. I do not want to create a new profile completely as Ufile has all of my student credits from University and College remembered. How do I change my last name? If I submit as my maiden name (Melissa Taylor) instead of my married name (Melissa Villaseca) Canada Revenue will deny my taxes? Please hel
Gabriel
If you decide to change your surname, it is your responsibility to change your name with all relevant government departments and agencies. If you did not already inform them, use your maiden name to file your return.
