Stone415
I completed 2012 tax returns for 2 retired friends using my UFile program. In Jan2014 They were reassessed. The elected split pension income was reduced for the pensioner from $7491 to $6912 with the consequential fallout of other amounts being revised also. The pensioner had to pay an additional $359 and his wife received a refund of $110. Why would there be a disagreement between UFile and the CRA? Has this discrepancy come to UFile's attention prior to now and has the problem been corrected for 2013?
Gabriel
I am not aware of any problem with the pension splitting calculations in UFile. Please send a request to support@ufile.ca so we can examine the return. Thank you.
