  5. Hello dpfeffer, In order for UFile to calculate the childcare expenses you must enter the complete information for your spouse. You are not required to NetFile your spouse’s return, only to enter the complete information so that the program can calculate the appropriate amounts. To enter the complete information for your spouse, go to the left side of the Interview section and click on “Spouse-Interview type” and select “Complete information (recommended)”. Unfortunately you will have to enter your spouse’s information again.

  8. Hello rikk, 1.) Close the UFile session by exiting the UFile page ie close the browser and login back in. The data should not be lost and all entries should be restored (except the last interview page). It may be due to a split second disconnect of the DBase to web server interface page and can be caused by network latency, internet disruptions or other internet issues. 2.) Check Firewall / Antivirus settings 3.) Also reported when a user is behind a PROXY or other Web service which changes the users IP address during the session in UFILE. Eg. Using a corporate network. Try on a connection outside a VPN (Virtual Private Network). 4.) Clear the cache. 5.) Switch browsers. Eg. From Chrome to EDGE 6.) Check for browser extensions eg. Crypto wallet / Cisco Webex >>Chrome >> Settings >> Manage extensions. 7.) Reboot the modem to change the IP address. 7.) Try to open your account from a different location ie different IP address: home or office (if the modem reboot did not change the IP address).

  11. Hello hsphillips01, If you wish to ensure that the carryforward information is indeed carried forward to the following year, then save your previous years completed tax return to PDF and resave the file. This action will ensure all carry forward information / amounts are carried forward to the next tax year. Please note you should only perform this action, saving to PDF, prior to starting your new tax return. If you carry forward a previous year to a file that has been completed, you risk overwriting the information already in your file. Please follow these steps: From the “My Files ” main menu first delete the current/new tax year. Launch the previous year’s return and go to the “Tax Return” tab 4. On the bottom of the Tax Return tab click on “Download PDF” Then click on “settings” in the upper right corner and “Save and Close” The page will jump to the “My Files” main menu. Create the new tax year by selecting “Create a new…” and click “Go!” Launch the new tax year and your information should be carried forward. Note: if you have paid for your tax return and you delete the file, the payment will also be deleted. In this case, please contact us and we will provide a voucher to replace the deleted payment.
  12. Hello Robertoll, 1. This Error will arise if you attempt to NetFile a Return when you selected the option "No, I will mail it" within the NetFile Page under the Interview Tab. You must be sure to select the option "Yes (if eligible)" instead of “No, I will mail it" 2.The response for <Does this taxpayer require a tax return?> was set to <Let MaxBack decide> and apparently Max decided that a federal return was not needed. When I set it to <Yes> I was able to netfile the federal return. 3. For your Dependant’s file, go to #2 Interview and on the left sidebar, click on "Ontario tax credits." Click on "ON-BEN Application" and click on the +. It will prompt you to look through all the information, but scroll to the final option where it says "Who should receive?" these benefits and simply select let "MaxBack" decide. (This section is about The Ontario Trillium Benefit and Senior Housing Benefits, if I recall correctly.) 4. had not put the cents in for my income on my business form and once i did it worked 5.Try clearing your cache (Ctl-H) or another broswer eg. From Chrome to Firefox If none of these clear the error message than you should mail the tax return

  20. Hello UFile-Cookies, Net Access Code Error code 21 / Result code 21 : The Canada Revenue Agency was unable to accept your return, as your NETFILE Access code (NAC) did not match our records. Make sure you are using the latest NAC and not the prior year NAC (which may have been carried forward). Your unique Access code (8 characters) can be found on your Notice of Assessment (NOA) for a previous tax year. This eight-character Access code is made up of numbers and letters and is located on the right side of your NOA. The placement and labelling of the Access code differs slightly depending on the version of the NOA you are looking at, but will always be on the right side of the NOA. On the paper version of your NOA as well as the PDF version in My Account, the Access code is not labelled, but can be found directly underneath the Date issued at the top right of the page. If you are viewing your NOA in My Account or using the Express NOA service in certified tax software, the Access code is found directly under the Notice details box at the top right of the page. OR Call the CRA 800-959-7383 The NAC is not required to NetFile. While this Access code is not mandatory, if you do not enter your Access code, you will not be able to use any information from your 2023 tax return when confirming your identity with the Canada Revenue Agency. You will have to rely on other information for authentication purposes.
  21. Hello david007co, Ending inventory, if any, must be entered manually. UFIle has no way of knowing what happened to the purchased inventory, as it is not an accounting system.
