Enter the total in Ufile. Yes, same question, where do you input this total? thanks
AltaRed
In the T5008 input form.... in Boxes 11, 13, 13-21 as appropriate. The sum of cost or book value goes in Box 20 and the proceeds of disposition go in Box 21. Recommendation: In the future for keeping track of adjusted cost base data it would be easier to use something like https://www.adjustedcostbase.ca/ for this data, tracking it as you go day to day, week to week. wob456
Why hasn't Ufile created a slick spreadsheet format to enter all the stock trades? Very clunky to enter them one by one from the Capital Gains and Losses window.
Geo123
Hello wob456, Thank you for your suggestion, I will pass it on to our Development team. Of note, you can enter as one entry in the Capital Gains section, from your own spreadsheet BUT please keep the spreadsheet file and backup eg. T5008's *Description of the stock or property : See list *Date of disposition (dd-mm-yyyy) : 31-12-20YY *Total proceeds from the sale of the shares or property : *Adjusted cost base of the shares or property : *Expenses incurred in making the disposition :
