Why UFILE always say “The beginning and end dates entered for your business correspond to a fiscal period of less than 365 days”?

I am filling T2125 for my delivery business. The start date is 01-01-2021 and end date is 31-12-2021. I checked “Tick if this is the first year of operations “.  But Ufile always gave this error when I reviewed my return.

Please help me. Thanks!

I didn’t add any assets such as a vehicle. There is nothing in Motor vehicle expenses and home office expenses. I only filled “fees for services”, “insurance “, ”telephone “, “fuel costs” in “income, expenses”.

Hello SANDRA1368,

Please check beginning and end dates. 01-01-2022 to 31-12-2022

Please check if you have two T2125's or T776’s entered by mistake

Also check : Tick if this is the first year of operations (or last) IF applicable

I am having the same problem this year.  ???

Yes, for some reason, it had opened 2 T2125s.  (had to be me but no idea how).  Anyway, it worked!  All is good now!  Thanks!

I have the same issue "  blank.gif

The beginning and end dates entered for your business correspond to a fiscal period of more than 365 days (or 366 days for a leap year).
If this was the first year or the last year of operation of the business, blank.gifClick here to revise the data.
Otherwise, blank.gifclick here to revise the dates for the beginning and end of the fiscal period.

The dates are entered by file.... first and last year of operation boxes are not checked...

Any other suggestions??

hi  @Geo123same issue in 2023 tax filing.

I had a new rental property in 2023 with the date typed correctly in T776; and I have a business for whole year 2023 with dates typed correctly.

Ufile just relates these two together and keeps throwing the error message.

These 2 forms are seperated and independent to each other, what i can do?

Hello danjjj,

UFIle does not relate the T776 to the T2125.

Please check beginning and end dates. 01-01-2023 to 31-12-2023

Please check if you have two T2125's or T776’s entered by mistake

Also check : Tick if this is the first year of operations (or last) IF applicable

@Geo123 thanks for the reply. I have multiple T776s each for a rental property, and only 1 T2125.

one of the T776 has a beginning date in the middle of 2023. all other T776s and the T2125 have whole year 2023.

But Ufile doesn't honor me and keeps saying my self employment has the less than 365 days error.
