Denis K Posted April 20, 2022 Report Share Posted April 20, 2022 Hi @ELW, Normally, the program optimizes the transfer of credits and deductions between spouses to minimize the amount of tax payable. However, with the options offered, you can force the program to give all available deductions and credits to the person of your choice. Remember that if you choose to force the program to assign these amounts to one spouse rather than the other, you are in effect bypassing certain family optimization routines as a result; this may increase the amount of tax payable for the whole family.
