Error 49-R

It says rejected and then error 49-R but I can’t seem to find out what it is I’m missing. I went over it 4 times any ideas?

In efiling error 49 means there is an invalid character in the address. May be connected to that.

I have the same error code when trying to Netfile to Canada for my daughter.

Rejected, Result: 49-R

It is set to the same address as family head, and my netfile was accepted without issue.

This is the first year that I am submitting a return for her, previously it was not required.

It was accepted by Quebec without issue.

One or more entries in your tax return require correction. The data entered is either invalid, or mandatory information is missing. If you are unable to resolve the issues, please contact your Software provider.< = = NOT software issue / is data entry issue

Ok, I finally figured out what the problem was.

The program was not providing the pages for the CRA Questions since the dependant file was set to "Let Maxback decide" for if a return was required.

I had to change this to Yes, and then those pages appeared. Once answering the questions correctly, it was accepted.

This is somewhat of a software bug, as since maxback has decided to generate a return, it should automatically provide those pages to be filled in.
