  1. Hello Louise Mac, 1.) Close the UFile session by exiting the UFile page ie close the browser and login back in. The data should not be lost and all entries should be restored (except the last interview page). It may be due to a split second disconnect of the DBase to web server interface page and can be caused by network latency, internet disruptions or other internet issues. 2.) Check Firewall / Antivirus settings 3.) Also reported when a user is behind a PROXY or other Web service which changes the users IP address during the session in UFILE. Eg. Using a corporate network. Try on a connection outside a VPN (Virtual Private Network). 4.) Clear the cache. 5.) Switch browsers. Eg. From Chrome to Firefox 6.) Check for browser extensions eg. Crypto wallet / Cisco Webex >>Chrome >> Settings >> Manage extensions. 6.) IF the issue persists please try to open your account from a different location ie different IP address: home or office or reboot the modem router.

  10. Hello pvlhb, **IMPORTANT : Please note, in order to carry forward a previous year, you must SAVE your tax file to PDF. These actions allow the program to retain your information and carry it forward to the following year automatically. IF you already created the current year file and did NOT save the prior year as a PDF, then you will have to delete the current year, save / PDF the prior year and then start the 2022 year file
  11. Hello BrianL, CRA must provide you the NETfile code. Your unique Access code can be found on your Notice of Assessment (NOA) for a previous tax year. This eight-character Access code is made up of numbers and letters and is located on the right side of your NOA. The placement and labelling of the Access code differs slightly depending on the version of the NOA you are looking at, but will always be on the right side of the NOA. On the paper version of your NOA as well as the PDF version in My Account, the Access code is not labelled, but can be found directly underneath the Date issued at the top right of the page. If you are viewing your NOA in My Account or using the Express NOA service in certified tax software, the Access code is found directly under the Notice details box at the top right of the page. While this Access code is not mandatory, if you do not enter your Access code, you will not be able to use any information from your 2022 tax return when confirming your identity with the Canada Revenue Agency. You will have to rely on other information for authentication purposes.

  14. Hello SJ5735, (1.) The CRA has locked your account due to too many failed attempts to NetFile (5xTimes maximum). You should contact the CRA to **unlock the account ie specifically the transmission to Netfile ** and then wait at least 12 hours to NetFile. Please note there is a difference between CRA myaccount and the CRA Netfiling account and not all CRA agents are aware of this. (2.) You should review the error messages in the Review section (Tab 3) of UFile.
  15. Hello ROJO, Normally i requires a T1 - ADj (Adjustment) but in your case it sounds like CRA requested you simply redo the original return and send it in.
  16. Hello Crystal Foisy, Please contact UFile Support so we may review the file confidentially. Please open a request ticket and submit an anonymous file for review on-line at https://www.ufile.ca/contact/contact-us

  18. Hello Ken F., VERY IMPORTANT! UFile cannot remove the CRA error message from NETFILE/EFILE tab. It can change only after a *new* NETFILE/EFILE submission. This can occur when the file was (successfully) Netfiled and then accidently filed again - even during the same session and /or by an accidental resubmit, repost or refresh of page. It has no impact on the carry forward.
