  8. Hello ridbots, Canada Workers Benefit (CWB). The CWB is an enhanced and more accessible refundable tax credit designed to supplement the earnings of low-income workers. You must meet all the following conditions: * You were a resident of Canada throughout the year.; * You have earned employment or business income. * At the end of the year, you were 19 years of age or older, or you lived with your spouse or common-law partner or with your child. You cannot request the CWB if in 2022, you were in one of the following conditions: * You have been enrolled as a full-time student for a total of more than 13 weeks in the year. * You have held in a prison for at least 90 days during the year. * You were exempt from tax in Canada. The CWB will be generated automatically by the program. If you are eligible, the amount will be carried over to line 45300 in Step 7 of the federal return and federal Schedule 6 will be generated by the program.   10. Hello yasdaz, UFile Windows - Auto-Fill Return (AFR) : We have updated UFile 2018 to UFile 2020 (and was always included in 2021 and 2022) to use Microsoft EDGE which uses Edge WebView. (we no longer use Microsoft Internet Explorer 11). Note that this also applies to the AFR for 2021 and 2022. If you are receiving error messages, for AFR, relating to Internet Explorer (IE11) you should uninstall and reinstall your current versions of UFile 2018 to UFile 2020.   14. Hello bevinb, If you are a tradesperson and wish to enter your eligible employment expenses regarding the purchase of tools, please follow the steps below: 1. On the "Left side menu on the Interview tab", select "Interview setup". 2. On the page on your right, go to the "Employment and other benefits" group, check the box for "Employment expenses" and click "Next" at the bottom of the page. 3. Return to the "Left side menu on the Interview tab" and select the "Employment expenses". 4. On the screen to the right, click on the plus sign "+" icon to the right of the line "Eligible employment expenses for a tradesperson", and click on ''Next'' at the bottom of the page. 5. On the page that is generated, entitled "Eligible employment expenses for a tradesperson" and enter the relevant information, and click "Next". 6. On the newly created page entitled "Tradesperson - eligible tools", click on the plus sign icon "+" and at the bottom of the line entitled "Tradesperson Tools Expenses (for tool purchase by employees)", enter the information on the tool you acquired in the tax year. 7. If you wish to add other tools, return to the page "Tradesperson - Eligible Tools" and repeat the procedure. 8. The employer must complete Federal Form "T2200 - Declaration of Conditions of Employment", as well as Quebec form "TP-75.2-V Employment Expenses of Salaried Tradespeople". 9. Depending of form(s) complete you should complete these form "Employment conditions" and for Quebec residents "Employment conditions - Quebec". Keep the original forms completed by the employer as well as the receipts for tools acquired in the year in order to provide them upon request to the CRA or to Revenu Québec.   21. Hello MaryEllen Gaudet, In the left side menu under the fourth tab "Tax Return", you will find the document "Charitable donations (Federal)" generated by the program. This in-house form provides you with details pertaining to your donations, such as those carried forward from previous years, the total amounts of Canadian and American donations that are eligible for the tax credit for you and your spouse and, if applicable, the eligible donations for the Quebec tax credit. The amount of the credit will be calculated in Schedule 9 of the federal return and will be reported on line 34900. For Quebec residents, the amount of the credit will be calculated in Schedule V and will be reported on line 395 of the provincial return.
